Confirm Fax&Scan setting

If you are unable to send a fax the first step is to confirm the configuration of your Fax Client.

 

Windows 7 and XP

1. Click the start button.

2. Click All Programs

3. Select "MS Fax Plug-In" --> "Configure Fax Service"(Win7)

Or "VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft fax"--> "Configure Fax Service"(XP)

4. Click File-->Properties

Skip to step 5 below

 

Windows 8

1. Click the start button.

2. Click All Programs (Downward arrow, bottom left corner)

3. Select "VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft fax" --> "Configure Fax Service"

4. Click File-->Properties (Will get pop up asking to confirm changes)

Skip to step 5 below

 

Windows 10

1. Click the Windows button.

2. Scroll down through your programs or type "Configure Fax Service" in the search field

3. Select "VoIP Plug-in for Microsoft fax-->Configure Fax Service"

4. Click File-->Properties (Will get pop up asking to confirm changes)

 

5. Confirm username(Can have spaces) and password (Can't have whitespace)

6. Click Show advanced setting

7. Confirm proper fax settings as outlined below.

Fax Server https://ata-proxy.ipfaxservices.com/nsps/nsps.aspx?target=casxml -- New URL August 2017

Fax Domain \\NETSATISFAXTION\SECURE

8. Send Test fax. Can send to HP Test Fax 8884732963

9. If fax still failing, confirm what error it says in Activity (Step 3) Take a screenshot and send this information to Support.
