Further troubleshooting.

If having issues starting your Fax&Scan client, please ensure you have enabled your Faxing Program.

  • Windows 7 and 8
Control Panel--> Programs and Features-->Turn Windows features on or off (left Column)-->Expand Print and Document Services--> Check the Fax program that comes with your Operating System.

If having issues sending faxes after client is set up, you might have to manually add dialling rules as outlined below.

Set up dialling rules on your computer: To do this, go to your control panel --> printer and other hardware--> phone and modem options. (NOTE that your version of Windows may have a different menu configuration, but the settings will be the same)

  • Under the dialling rules, "My Location", specify the location from which you will be dialling.
    Country – Canada
Region – Your local 3 digit area code
  • On the "Area Code Rules" tab, check off "Include all the prefixes within this area code"
  • Check off "Rules", "When dialling phone numbers that contain the prefixes above include the area code"
  • Click "Apply"
