Reusing a cancelled number (recreating as new service)

ThinkTel now offers our customers the opportunity to reuse one of their numbers without having to contact ThinkTel staff.  Your recently deleted numbers will show as available for 3 days

 

You can reuse a recently deleted number for up to 3 days after the number has been cancelled. After this time you will have to contact our Orders group at [email protected] to reactivate the service up to 3 months after the line has been cancelled.

 

1. Cancel the existing line/service. https://support.thinktel.ca/kb/article/216-Delete_a_Number

2. Order New service. https://support.thinktel.ca/kb/article/264-Ordering_a_DID

3. Chose the rate center of your old number. If needed it can be looked up here https://localcallingguide.com/lca_prefix.php

4. In the numbers section, click on the dropdown and scroll to the bottom of the numbers.

5. select the number you want to use then fill in the rest of the fields as required.
